Why is Hölderlin so important? Hölderlin is important because he occupies a philosophical position that can be defended even now, and perhaps stronger than ever. For Hölderlin, freedom is paramount, but that does not mean that people are autonomous. The struggle with the world is necessary to come to consciousness, and that cannot be without conflicts. These conflicts concern not only the relationship with other people, but also those with one's own consciousness.
When man thinks about himself, he discovers the absolute in himself, that the world is one big context, but that he is excluded from that context. The absolute withdraws from our grasp, and no science or technology gives access to the essential that withdraws from us. Only at certain moments do we succeed in becoming one with the world and does the ecstasy make us forget our conflicts.
For this process of awareness that takes place in the dispute with the world, but which at times is unprecedented, Hölderlin has found words that are unique and unparalleled by any other poet.
That you can be grateful for your existence because you can experience the absolute in its inaccessibility within you, that there is a remembrance that gives the experience of being right through loss and farewell, that is what makes Hölderlin so topical and why he provokes so much enthusiasm among his admirers.
When human development (Bildung) is not possible without conflicts with yourself and the world, it means that you should not take away people's problems, but rather facilitate them in understanding the stage of life they are going through. In search of the meaning of life and its own identity, there is no writer who has so much to tell us as Hölderlin.

Waarom is Hölderlin zo belangrijk? Hölderlin is belangrijk omdat hij een filosofische positie inneemt die zich ook nu nog, en misschien wel sterker dan ooit, laat verdedigen. Voor Hölderlin staat de vrijheid voorop, maar dat wil nog niet zeggen dat de mens autonoom is. De strijd met de wereld is noodzakelijk om tot bewustzijn te komen, en dat kan niet zonder conflicten. Die conflicten betreffen niet alleen de verhouding met andere mensen, maar ook die met het eigen bewustzijn. Wanneer de mens over zichzelf nadenkt ontdekt hij het absolute in zichzelf, dat de wereld één grote samenhang is, maar dat hij van die samenhang is buitengesloten. Het absolute onttrekt zich aan onze greep, en geen wetenschap of techniek geeft toegang tot het wezenlijke dat zich aan ons onttrekt. Alleen op sommige ogenblikken lukt het ons één te worden met de wereld en laat de extase ons onze conflicten vergeten. Voor dit bewustwordingsproces dat plaats vindt in het geschil met de wereld, maar dat op sommige momenten een ongekende vervoering kent, heeft Hölderlin woorden gevonden die uniek zijn en die door geen enkele andere dichter worden geëvenaard. Dat je voor je bestaan dankbaar kunt zijn omdat je het absolute in zijn ontoegankelijkheid in je binnenste kunt ervaren, dat er een aandenken is dat dwars door verlies en afscheid heen de ervaring van het zijn geeft, dat is wat Hölderlin zo actueel maakt en waarom hij bij zijn bewonderaars zo veel enthousiasme oproept. Wanneer menselijke ontwikkeling (Bildung) niet mogelijk is zonder conflicten met jezelf en de wereld, betekent dat, dat je de mensen hun problemen niet moet afpakken, maar ze moet faciliteren in het begrijpen van de levensfase die ze doormaken. Op zoek naar de zin van het leven en een eigen identiteit is er wel geen schrijver die ons zo veel te vertellen heeft als Hölderlin.

CHAPTER TWO. : THE COMMAND OF THE ABSOLUTE 2025 WORLD AGE work in progress
The name Noah means “rest.” It derives from the Hebrew נוח (nuah), to rest. The name could also mean "comfort." For well over a century, scholars have said that the Bible's story of Noah's Ark is based on older Mesopotamian models. Nine versions of the Mesopotamian flood story are known, each more or less adapted from an earlier version. In the oldest version, inscribed in the Sumerian city of Nippur around 1600 BCE, the hero is King Ziusudra. This story, the Sumerian flood myth, probably derives from an earlier version. The Ziusudra version tells how he builds a boat and rescues life when the gods decide to destroy it. This basic plot is common in several subsequent flood stories and heroes, including Noah. Ziusudra's Sumerian name means "he of long life." In Babylonian versions, his name is Atrahasis, but the meaning is the same. In the Atrahasis version, the flood is a river flood.
The Dead Sea is mentioned in the Bible – it was famous even during that period. Several different sects of Jews used to lives in the caves near the Dead Sea. The most famous of these were the Essenes, who have left us the original Bible scrolls – but more on them later. The area of Ein Gedi near the Dead Sea, which is a nature reserve today, is believed to be the area where the Biblical David, king to be, hid from King Saul when the latter came after him with the purpose of killing him. Another very well-known Biblical story that took place in the vicinity of the Dead Sea is the story of Lot’s wife. But the salty lake at the lowest elevation on Earth is probably best known for the story of Masada that has become a symbol of resistance against oppression, and Masada has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
